DS-2650 resin is a copolymer of (meth)acrylic monomers and specialized monomers, utilizing methyl ethyl ketone and butyl acetate as solvents. This resin facilitates excellent alignment of silver flakes, exhibits superior whiteness, and demonstrates excellent dispersibility for colored pigments.
DS-2650 resin is a copolymer derived from (meth)acrylate monomers and specialized monomers, utilizing methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) and butyl acetate as solvents. This resin facilitates excellent orientation of silver flakes, exhibits superior whiteness, and demonstrates excellent dispersibility for colored pigments. It offers excellent compatibility with CAB and maintains good compatibility with other acrylic resins. Furthermore, it features excellent drying properties and hardness, allowing for wet-on-wet application.
Low hydroxyl content, fast drying, excellent compatibility with CAB, and superior adhesion to plastics such as ABS, PC, nylon, and glass fiber. It can be coated with UV varnish and exhibits excellent interlayer adhesion.

DS-2650 resin can be used to formulate two-component polyurethane metallic silver paints or colored paints, serving as both primers and topcoats for metals—such as aluminum-magnesium alloys—and plastics, including ABS, PS, PC, glass-fiber-reinforced nylon, and PET. These coatings can subsequently be overcoated with PU or UV clear varnishes.
